SPIJKSTAAL WINS TENDER FOR SUPPLY AND ALL-IN MAINTENANCE OF HEAVY ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT TRACTORS TO MINISTRY OF DEFENSE!

New energy for defense! Spijkstaal wins tender from the Ministry of Defense for the supply and all-in maintenance (for 10 years) of no less than 13 heavy electric Materiel tractors! The location of the Material Tractors is different and distributed over the barracks of the Army.

Powerhouses

These special electric Materiel tractors have a towing capacity of up to 120 kN and will be used primarily for towing (pulling and pushing) tracked vehicles, wheeled vehicles and trailers at barracks sites in the Netherlands for peacekeeping operations.

Multipurpose

Among other things, the Material Tractors will come with a number of special options:

Two powerful electric motors

Unique lithium LFP battery pack with integrated battery charger
4×4 steering with automatic control
Cabin with elevator system
Rotating (180°) seat + in-cab steering for forward and reverse movement
360° camera system
Pneumatic system
Hydraulic height-adjustable towing clutch
Telescopic crane at the back of the platform for lifting the tow bar
Delivery
The first deliveries will begin in 2023.
