SPIJKSTAAL WINS TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND ALL-IN MAINTENANCE OF HEAVY ELECTRIC MATERIAL TOW TRACTORS FOR THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE!

New energy for defence! Spijkstaal wins a tender from the Ministry of Defence for the supply and all-in maintenance (for 10 years) of no fewer than 13 heavy electric Material Tow Tractors! The Material Tow Tractors will be stationed at various army barracks.

Powerhouses

These special electric Material Tow Tractors have a towing capacity of up to 120 kN and will primarily be used for towing (pulling and pushing) tracked vehicles, wheeled vehicles, and trailers on barracks grounds in the Netherlands for peacetime operations.

Multifunctional

The Material Tow Tractors will be supplied with several special options, including:

Two powerful electric motors

Unique lithium LFP battery pack with integrated battery charger
4x4 steering with automatic control
Cabin with lift system
Swivelling (180°) seat + controls in the cabin for forward and reverse movement
360° camera system
Pneumatic system
Hydraulically height-adjustable towing hitch
Telescopic crane on the rear platform for lifting the tow bar
Delivery
The first deliveries will commence from 2023.
