SPIJKSTAAL WINS TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND ALL-IN MAINTENANCE OF HEAVY-DUTY ELECTRIC TOW TRUCKS FOR THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE!

A New Boost for Defense! Spijkstaal has won a tender from the Ministry of Defense for the supply and all-inclusive maintenance (for 10 years) of no fewer than 13 heavy-duty electric equipment tractors! The equipment tractors will be stationed at various locations across the Army’s barracks.

Powerhouses

These special electric equipment tractors have a towing capacity of up to 120 kN and will primarily be used for towing (pulling and pushing) tracked vehicles, wheeled vehicles, and trailers on military base grounds in the Netherlands as part of peacekeeping operations.

Multifunctional

The equipment tractors will come with a number of special options, including:

Two powerful electric motors

Unique lithium LFP battery pack with integrated battery charger
4×4 steering with automatic control
Cab with lift system
Swivel (180°) seat + in-cab controls for forward and reverse movement
360° camera system
Pneumatic system
Hydraulically height-adjustable tow hitch
Telescopic crane mounted on the rear of the platform for hoisting the tow bar
Delivery
The first deliveries will begin in 2023.
