Plug In 010

On Thursday, March 28, 2024, the Municipality of Rotterdam is organizing Plug In 010, an event about the zero-emission zone. During this event, we will provide information and advice on the upcoming zero-emission zone, abbreviated as ZE zone. The event is specifically for entrepreneurs who operate delivery vans or trucks in Rotterdam.
In 10 months, on January 1, 2025, the Municipality of Rotterdam will introduce the ZE zone. This zone is being implemented to improve air quality, climate, and accessibility. The zone is an urban area where only emission-free delivery vans and trucks are permitted, such as electric vehicles or hydrogen-powered vehicles. This will occur in several phases. From January 1, 2025, older delivery vans below Euro Class 5 or trucks below Euro Class 6 will no longer be allowed into the zone. This applies to delivery vans and trucks used by businesses. New delivery vans and trucks purchased after January 1, 2025, must be emission-free within the ZE zone.
From January 1, 2030, no delivery vans or trucks with internal combustion engines, such as diesel, petrol, or gas, will be permitted in the ZE zone. Exceptions apply to certain commercial vehicles. These are referred to as exemptions and dispensations.
Plug In 010
Plug in 010 is for all entrepreneurs and businesses that operate delivery vans or trucks in Rotterdam. Doors open on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 3:00 PM. During this event, entrepreneurs will receive information about the regulations for the ZE zone, the costs of an electric delivery van or truck for a business owner, various electric delivery vans, trucks, and other electric transport methods. Information will also be provided on exceptions to the rules and the charging of electric delivery vans and trucks.
Experts from the municipality will be present throughout the event. Entrepreneurs can pose questions to them.
