General

What is the towing capacity of a vehicle?
Spijkstaal supplies electric vehicles with a towing capacity ranging from 1 to 150 tons. A model is always available to suit your specific requirements. The maximum towing capacity of your vehicle can be found on the chassis plate.

Is a charger included as standard with every vehicle?
Yes, every Spijkstaal tow tractor or platform truck is supplied with a charger as standard. If you already possess a charger and do not require an additional one, you may purchase a vehicle without a charger.

How long can a vehicle operate before requiring a recharge?
The operating time depends on the battery type and usage. Driving on inclines or rough terrain consumes more energy than on a flat surface. Spijkstaal can perform an energy calculation to provide an accurate estimate. Some models offer the option for easy battery swapping.

Are parts manuals or user guides available?
Yes, a digital user guide or parts manual is provided with every vehicle. Our team is available to answer any questions you may have.

Can I add non-standard options to a standard vehicle?
Yes, Spijkstaal offers customisation and adapts vehicles to meet your specific requirements.

Are Spijkstaal vehicles available in any colour?
Vehicles are supplied in white (RAL 9001) as standard, but we can provide any desired colour upon request.

What is the warranty period for the vehicle?
Every standard vehicle comes with a 12-month warranty.

Can I use my Spijkstaal vehicle outdoors?

Can I drive a Spijkstaal vehicle up an incline?
Yes, with the exception of type 301 (stand-up tow tractor), which is not suitable for inclines. Towing capacity is based on flat surfaces and may vary on slopes. Please contact us for advice.
